Celery Juice Benefits and Why I Drink it Everyday
Celery juice, popularised by Anthony William aka the Medical Medium, is one of the biggest health crazes around these days.
If you’ve been wondering why there’s no celery left on the supermarket shelves it’s because everyone is juicing it! You may not have much regard for the humble celery. Normally seen as a garnish for a bloody mary, a tool to get hummus into your mouth, or the base for vegetable stock. Perhaps there’s more to celery than you realised 🤷
According to the Medical Medium celery juice can:
- Strengthen the immune system
- Fight autoimmune disease
- Strengthen the reproductive system
- Help heal eczema & psoriasis
- Help acid reflux
- Help heal neurological symptoms
- Remove viral waste out of the body
- Help constipation
- Alleviate bloating
- Lower inflammation
- Support weight loss
- Heal acne
- Prevent ulcers
- Protect liver health
- Prevent high blood pressure
- Lower high cholesterol
And that’s only half of what Anthony claims celery juice is good for, he goes as far as to say that for some it’s lifesaving. That’s a lot of benefits for the humble herb! (Yes, it’s a herb, not a vegetable.) Who would have thought that celery juice is the herbal elixir that could change your life? The Medical Medium is endorsed by hundreds of celebrities and even some doctors and nutritionists. He has 3.5 million followers on insta and has fans all over the world, many claiming that following the protocol in his books has cured or healed their diseases. And part of his protocol always involves drinking celery juice. Anthony receives his information from the spirit world, specifically the spirit of compassion. Now, I know I might have lost some of you at that bit — and sure, it may seem pretty weird — but I believe it’s plausible.
Whether he really is or not, I’m not sure. Although the information in his books is very detailed and specific… and then there are the thousands of people who claim to have followed his advice and been cured.
My Experience of Drinking Celery Juice
So of course I wanted to experiment with drinking celery juice to see what happened.
I have been drinking 16 oz (basically a pint) of organic celery juice daily for a couple of months (with some breaks when I’m away).
First, I’ll say that I like the taste of it – at least I do now. I think it takes a bit of getting used to. I find it refreshing, sweet, and pleasant to drink and I actually look forward to it.
The most obvious result I experience from drinking it is a cleanse of my digestive system. Without TMI what I would say to you is that you don’t want to drink it when you’re too far from a bathroom!
I also notice fewer cravings when I drink it, especially for salt. The Medical Medium would say this is due to the, as yet scientifically undiscovered, sodium cluster salts that are found in celery. This makes it the best electrolyte drink you can find.
I also believe that it’s supporting my immune system, which the medical medium would explain is because, “White blood cells absorb the sodium cluster salts in celery juice through their cell structure and then use them as an offense mechanism, not just a defense mechanism.”
No, I haven’t experienced any great miracles but then again I’m not currently suffering from any kind of ill health. I see it as a useful tool in possible prevention of ill health though.
The Medical Medium claims that drinking celery juice can protect against Alzheimer’s Disease and as my grandmother died from it I am keen to do anything I can to protect myself.
I also have suffered from issues with candida, SIBO, and bloating in the past all of which I want to keep well at bay and which celery juice can apparently do.
So why not? For roughly the cost of £1.50 a day, with no downsides and potentially many benefits, I will be continuing with my celery juice regimen.
Are you keen to try? Here’s how the Medical Medium suggests incorporating celery juice into your day.
- Optional: Drink 16-32 ounces of lemon or lime water upon waking, then wait for 15 to 30 minutes
- Drink your celery juice (working up to 16 ounces) on an empty stomach every morning, and then wait 15 to 30 minutes before you . . .
- Enjoy a fat-free breakfast (ideally fruit, a fruit smoothie such as the Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie, or oatmeal cooked in water).
CELERY JUICE RECIPE
- Juice 1 large or 1 1/2 bunches of (preferably) organic celery
- Don’t mix it with any other fruit, veggie, ice, or water.
You can also make it in a blender and strain it through a nut milk bag. You can watch the how-to video here. For more information on all things celery juice, I’d recommend purchasing Anthony William’s book Celery Juice.
“Drinking celery juice is the simplest of measures, so simple that people often write it off as too easy to make a difference in how they feel. They figure that adding several other ingredients to their green juice will add that many more nutrients. While green juice blends can be very healing, there is nothing that equals the simple power of pure celery juice. It is as healing, transformational, and life-changing as it gets—and that’s due to its complex nutritional makeup, which needs to be left undisturbed to work its magic.” – Anthony William, Medical Medium
