Everyone promises you their way is the way that is going to work, right? And perhaps you are bored of the hype and the scams. I totally get you. The truth is there is never one thing that works for EVERYONE, because we are all unique. But intermittent fasting isn't a diet or a new fad, it's been practiced for centuries and is how we evolved.
Intermittent fasting works because it is the way our bodies are designed to work. when we stop snacking all the time and give our bodies a break from food we tap into our biology, that was there all along!
When you don't consume food your body looks to find fuel from another source.
First it takes what it needs from stored energy in the liver.
Once that's run out the body breaks down fat for fuel, which is in fact exactly what it's there for!
I've been there. I nearly gave up on thinking I would find a solution.
Looking back, I’m so happy I didn't settle because Intermittent Fasting changed my life forever...
I gave intermittent fasting a try because I suffered from severe gut inflammation aka I looked pregnant all the time.
I ate well, I exercised, I was slim - but no matter how many ab exercises I did I couldn't get a flat belly.
I saw gastroenterologists, nutritionists, kinesiologists, and healers. I had colonic irrigations, went on juice fasts, and tried probiotics.
In short, I tried A LOT OF different things.
I got to the point where I thought I would never find a solution.
But then I tried intermittent fasting, and by giving my gut a rest from eating for an extended period of time, the inflammation lowered and my belly deflated.
And so happy days, I no longer look pregnant when I'm not!
Fast-forward to now, after 3 years of making intermittent fasting part of my
everyday routine, I am rarely bloated, and don't have to wear baggy clothes all the time to cover my swollen belly.
You can want to change your body without it being about punishment, deprivation or self-loathing.
You can desire a different body shape, whilst loving and being grateful for the body that you currently have.
Stop hating yourself for everything you aren't and start loving yourself for everything that you already are.

No. The only item you may want to purchase is MCT oil but it's 100% optional.
Nope. Lots of my clients like to fast on weekdays but not on the weekends because of later dinners and family breakfasts. There are also some days I recommend that you don't fast (which you'll learn about on Day 4 of the Fasting Habit).
This is the question I get asked the MOST! You're an adult you can eat whatever you like! I'm not going to give you a list of foods you can't eat so that you feel guilty about eating them when you inevitably do! But I do give you guidance about foods that will help serve your goals, and ones that won't.
You can exercise fasted. I especially like to walk or do yoga whilst fasting. You can do more intense exercise whilst fasting but I would recommend building up to that.
